February Beauty Favorites 2018

If I were to sum up February, I’d say that it was a month of using mostly the same things. I’ve tried out a few different items, but I haven’t really gotten out of my comfort zone. I hope that I will stop procrastinating in March and actually try something new. But in the meantime, here are my February Beauty Favorites 2018.

Once again, I am not affiliated with nor sponsored by any of the companies mentioned here. I am just giving you my full, unbiased opinion on these items.

Skincare

I feel that February was a month that was mostly focused on skincare. I’ve been having some bad, painful cystic acne lately, which has made me feel hesitant about wearing makeup (or going out) much lately. I feel that using all of these items has allowed me to really improve my skin’s appearance. I know that a lot of these items are very expensive, but I really do think that they’re worth the investment.

Tatcha The Deep Cleanse

February Beauty Favorites 2018

I have no idea how the people at Tatcha come up with these products, but I am so grateful that their company exists.

The Deep Cleanse, meant for people with oily skin (I believe), feels so good. The chunks of luffa fruit in the gel feel like they’re really taking off all the dead skin cells on my face without leaving my skin feeling tight and dry. There’s something that’s just so soothing about rubbing this all over my face. I guess that the little bits of luffa fruit make it feel like a massage. Oh, and it’s also cruelty-free, which is something that I really love when looking for beauty products.

At thirty-eighty dollars, I think this is perhaps one of Tatcha’s most affordable items on this list. Feel free to check it out at Sephora or Tatcha’s official site.

Tatcha Rice Enzyme Powder

THIS EXFOLIANT IS EVERYTHING. I WANT TO BATHE IN IT, I WANT TO BUY STOCK IN IT, BECAUSE I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PRODUCT.

February Beauty Favorites 2018

But in all seriousness, this exfoliant feels incredible on my skin. After using The Deep Cleanse, I rub this all over, and it feels silky-smooth on the skin. When I wash it off, my skin feels so clean and refreshed, without feeling dry. The fact that it’s cruelty-free is amazing, because it shows you that you don’t need to test on animals in order for something to make your skin beautiful and healthier.

At sixty-five dollars, the Rice Enzyme Powder is a little bit pricey, but this does feel absolutely amazing and has helped me get rid of acne more quickly.

It’s also one of those skincare items where a little does go a long way, so in a sense you are getting your money’s worth. So if you want to step up your skincare game, then I would definitely recommend checking out the Tatcha Rice Enzyme Powder. You can purchase it off of Sephora or Tatcha’s official site.

Tatcha The Silk Cream

Remember when I said that I was going to look for more affordable products? Well you might just go ahead and skip this item, because this will cause your wallet to file a restraining order.

Seriously, this stuff is so good, but it is so damn expensive.

If you read my January Favorites post, then you’ll know how much I loved The Water Cream. But I had been eyeing The Silk Cream for some time. When I had enough money to purchase this, I jumped on it faster than Donald Trump jumps on his Twitter.

This cream smells and feels so amazing on my skin. It has a citrus like scent to it, like many other Tatcha products I’ve tried out, and it feels so lightweight and smooth on my skin. The Silk Cream, like many other Tatcha products, is an item where you don’t need to use a whole lot to get it to cover your problem areas. Just a little dab covers most of my whole chin. And that’s saying a lot, because when it comes to chins, Gaston from “Beauty and the Beast” is QUAKING.

Overall, when I bought this product, I knew that I was getting my money’s worth, especially after noticing how soft and smooth my skin felt.

At one-hundred-twenty bucks, this is definitely not an item I will habitually be purchasing. It’s more of an occasional, “I-want-to-treat-myself-for-the-hell-of-it-even-though-I-didn’t-do-anything-to-deserve-it” kind of investment. But if you do find yourself wanting to purchase this, you can get it off of Sephora or Tatcha’s official site.

Etude House Wonder Pore Deep Foaming Cleanser

If there’s one little fun-fact you should know about me, it’s that I’ve grown to love K-Pop. Okay, maybe not K-Pop as a whole, but I’ve certainly grown to love SHINee. Seriously, so many of their songs are ABSOLUTE BANGERS. And don’t get me started on how gorgeous their members are!

So when I heard that Key was a huge fan of Wonder Pore, I knew I had to check it out.

Thus, this facial cleanser became one of the first Etude House products I ended up trying out. Thank you, Key!

I have to say that so far, I really, really love how foamy the cleanser gets when rubbing it on my face. Because it’s so thick, it feels like it’s getting deep into my pores. The fact that I can feel beads in the product is a little concerning from an environmental perspective, but the beads disappear once I’ve rubbed it in. Using this cleanser with my Clarisonic Mia 2 brush really seems to help get rid of a lot of blackheads on my nose and chin. It also has a lot more product than the Korres Greek Yoghurt Cleanser I mentioned in my last favorites post, which is amazing, because that particular cleanser costs a lot more than the Wonder Pore.

Speaking of cost, the Etude House Wonder Pore Facial Cleanser costs ten dollars and twenty-two cents on Amazon. Or you can buy it for four dollars and sixty-eight cents off of Etude House’s official site.

However, at the time I’ve written this post, the cleanser is out of stock on Etude House’s official site. I’m not sure when they’ll be putting it in stock or if it’s permanently gone.

Makeup

ABH x Amrezy Highlighter

As someone who is addicted to highlighters, I think this is one of the most beautiful highlighters I have ever used.

First of all, the packaging is absolutely beautiful. I have never seen a highlighter that’s designed like this.

DO YOU SEE THOSE WAVES?

Not only that, but there’s no fallout, no matter how much I dig into the product. In terms of pigment, the Amrezy highlighter is very buildable, which can make it very suitable for all skin tones. I was a bit afraid that it would leave a dark streak on my skin. Thankfully it looks very natural when I put it on. Best of all, it just melts into my skin.

Overall, I’m absolutely in love with this highlighterIf you’re a highlighter fanatic or a newbie, I think that you’ll enjoy this product. You can get it for twenty-eight dollars on ABH’s official site.

Too Faced Brow Quickie Brow Gel

I am someone who is obsessed with the art of eyebrows.

I think that the eyebrows are perhaps the most important aspect of the makeup process. With that being said, however, I have been very lazy lately and haven’t been putting nearly as much effort into my eyebrows. Which is why I’ve been using the Too Faced Brow Quick Brow Gel so much lately.

Whether I’m in a rush or want to go for a natural/soft look, I love using this to make my eyebrows fuller. After all, I wasn’t blessed with Cara Delevingne eyebrows. So anything that can help me out is good in my book. It also does a good job of keeping my eyebrows in place all day. In general, I think this is a very handy item to have, especially if you’re someone who doesn’t have time to craft person Instagram eyebrows.

The Too Faced Brow Quickie is worth twenty-two dollars. You can purchase it off of Sephora or Too Faced’s official site.

So now we’ve reached the end of my February Beauty Favorites 2018 post.

As I said before, I feel like I used the same items I mentioned in my last favorites post. I also didn’t try out more drugstore items as I promised I would. I hope that will change in March, but sometimes life just says “not today, queen!”

So I want to ask all of you: do you ever find yourself in a beauty rut? What are some of the best ways to get out of it? Comment your answers down below!
